Client: CK Welding

(San Diego, CA)

CK Welding, LLC sought help with general branding. Its chief values are based on integrity and authority. Along with stationery and an overhaul of the logo, the owner requested a simple, low-maintenance landing page reflecting these values while delivering on the promise to be customer-centric. He also wanted to enable site visitors to request quotes quickly. Despite using one of the most basic template-based web platforms available (Google Sites), I designed a personalized quote form—complete with brand elements. Push notifications allow the owner, who is admittedly not tech-savvy, to use the feature seamlessly and reliably with his existing business email.

From the Owner:

"What began as a request to help overhaul my logo became a mission to brand my business. I had no idea where to begin. His process got me fired up and I was proud to hand out business cards, flyers, and direct people to the landing page. He developed them all!  The best part is that his services would cost an arm and a leg elsewhere." - Chad Kirchhofer

Client: Quench Co.

(Frisco, TX)

There is something about a challenge that I just LOVE. The founder hired me to provide web copy for her landing page and seven product pages. She was open to suggestions about a brand voice. After scouting competitors in the space, it was determined the voice had to make people smile and think. It needed authority, but also to be fun and relatable:  A wisecrack here, a point of pride there... and one Sigmund Freud reference for good measure.

What I loved about this project

I was able to use some of my graphic design skills to create usable icons, which was a first for me. I'm not a seasoned professional in this area, but I thoroughly enjoy that part of my work and consistently find myself losing track of time, obsessing over every anchor point.

Client: 877Whitley.com

(San Diego, CA)

Whitley sells personalized toll-free numbers and domain packages to businesses. He wanted to reach established B2B marketing agents and agencies rather than looky-loos. He expressed a strong desire for congruency in his brand and messaging. What evolved was lean-and-mean copy. It had comprehensive information and relevant case studies to bring the short, punchy one-liners together. He sought a voice for 877Whitley.com that was clever but approachable. Finding the right type of brevity is among the noblest challenges for a copywriter. Click here to see the live website.

What I loved about this project

I love to learn about new things. To say this industry is interesting would be an understatement. I loved learning about the history through relevant case studies and some of my independent research.
